Developmental Screening

Developmental Screening

Developmental Screening at MOM9
Every child grows at their own pace—but there are milestone ranges for speech, movement, learning and social skills. Developmental screening is a structured way to spot concerns early, even when they’re subtle.

At MOM9, we use screening to support families with clarity: whether everything is on track, or whether your child needs extra help (and what kind).

What We Check

  • Speech and language development
  • Motor skills (sitting, walking, coordination)
  • Social interaction and behaviour
  • Attention, learning and play skills
  • Age-appropriate milestones and red flags

Why Early Screening Matters

Early identification can open the door to early support—and early support can make a meaningful difference in a child’s development and learning.

When to Consider Screening

  • Delayed speech or poor eye contact
  • Hyperactivity or difficulty focusing
  • Not responding to name or sounds
  • Regression (loss of skills previously gained)
  • Parental gut feeling that “something isn’t right”
